NOTE: This character is entered as a competitor, but for the purposes of the story, she is presenting herself as a spectator. Read profile for more information.

Sailor Magellan | Io Knight | Audition Comic

CIVILIAN FORM
First Name: Romy
Last Name: Riva
Gender: Female
Race/Species: Italian? (Lethian)
Info/Description: Romy presents herself as a girl born and raised in Italy. The truth is she's from Lethe - and hasn't been on Earth all too long. Romy is very much the alter-ego over the one listed below.
History: Romy is a bit of an enigma. She does have a complete story of her life so far – she grew up in a small village about 10 miles from Napoli (though those who ‘know’ her can never seem to remember what it’s called), was an only child and went to a good little Catholic school taught by nuns. Her headmistress was a cross woman called Sister Joseph. Her family moved to Napoli proper where she met Michael. She went to university at SDA Bocconi in Milan where she earned a degree in business, then at the very young age of nineteen she joined the insurance firm as a gopher, but left soon after her talents quickly outgrew the firm.
To have such a life story would make a person seem quite normal rather than enigmatic. The problem comes when people try to get specific details. What are her parents’ names? What was the name of the Catholic school? Sure, Romy has an answer for all these things if asked directly. She even has the degree from her university hanging in her office. Yet, somehow her answers and history all seem very… Vague. A line of memory loss always seems to follow Romy, but she always has an answer for any questions - even records. You can’t argue with the evidence right in front of you, correct? And maybe you do recall a curvy girl with brown hair talking to you a few years ago, just on the edge of remembering. She must have been there all that time…
Romy definitely was in Italy with a family that was supposedly hers when Sora went on exchange. She welcomed Sora like a sister. Then proceeded to break her down... She recognised her, of course, even before Sora recognised herself. Mariner never died when the Dark Kingdom attacked - and no one can remember her, so why should they know what exactly she did?
She started a relationship with him soon after discovering what seemed to be Sora having feelings for him, a friend she had made. Strangely enough she spoke as if they had been friends for a long time and it was only natural, but if Michael thinks very hard... He can't remember noticing Romy much at all before she came onto him.
Romy comes to Japan with Michael after he remembers his previous life - of course he confides in her, and how he remembers that his friend Sora was in his memories. She can carry out her business from elsewhere, after all.
About the same time as these Senshi are awakening, Sailor Mariner shows up and it's clear that whatever she is up to, it is not good news. But Romy would have no idea who she is. She is just a supportive friend of the Senshi, of course.
When the invite for the Tournament comes along, Romy voices her wishes to support her boyfriend. Of course, if Sailor Mariner were to show up after the wish for herself... It wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
Age: 23
Birthday: November 19
Alignment: Neutral from her point of view, presenting herself as good. Sora is probably the only one that senses something a little evil about her civilian form.
Eye Color: Hazel
Skin Tone/Shade: Having a typical Italian skin tone, Romy’s skin is what some would describe as having a ‘honey kissed’ tan. Her skin is, predictably, free of imperfection (without the miracles of plastic surgery too!)
Height: 5’9”/175cm
Occupation: No one is quite sure. She's a freelance professional of some description. Something like that. It seems that no sooner as someone has asked her, they forget what she answered. When Michael is asked he usually answers with "She's a freelancer for corporate businesses", in any case.
Personality: Romy is likeable for the pure reason that she is very good at only projecting what she wants people to see. A smooth talker, Romy knows when to flash her pearly whites, when to look in serious and when to flutter those eyes. Others will tell you how she's such a sweet, friendly, welcoming girl, who seems to have no real care for her own gain. That's really all they can tell you. She's so wonderful... But not particularly special or memorable.
Likes: Cross-stitch (supposedly), reading (supposedly), fashion (supposedly, though with some evidence in how she dresses). Romy seems to have a myriad of set responses to questions like this, but no one sees her doing much.
Dislikes:: Romy lists her dislikes as anything a normal business oriented woman should dislike – decaf in the morning, non organic food products that throw her diet out the window, the fact that her 'In' pile is stacked upon just as she’s almost done emptying it. Strangely enough, when she comes across these dislikes, they don’t annoy her as much as one would think they should.
Other Information:
:bulletblue: While I am entering Sailor Mariner into the main Tournament, as far as story goes, it will only be Sailor Magellan and Io Knight who enter the fight, with Romy tagging along. In truth, she enters herself as a part of their team, but no one seems to know that. It's as much a surprise to her team mates as it is to their opponents when she shows up. With that said, it will be perfectly acceptable not to show Mariner in a comic, as she is likely to be doing her own thing on the satellite, striking when the time is right...
:bulletblue: Sora and Michael DON'T KNOW that Romy is Mariner, or of what Mariner is doing. They certainly wouldn't approve of her being on their team, even if she was helping them (she is likely to help them and then turn on them). I would prefer it to remain that way.
:bulletblue: Romy is fluent in several languages including Japanese. She picked them up 'here and there'.
:bulletblue: Out of all the Castle Guardians, Mariner is the only one that is not remembered - Ami notes that she must have had a guardian (obviously, given that a Mariner shows up), but has no idea about her.

SENSHI FORM
Name: Sailor Mariner
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral/Evil
Home Planet: Lethe
Transformation Item: Her bracelet
Transformation Phrase: Mariner Castle Power, Make Up
Transformation Sequence Description: Romy extends the arm wearing the bracelet, clicks her fingers and breathes out a mist that turns into a heavy fog, covering her. As it dissipates, it reveals her transformed underneath - and moves on to remove the memory of it from anyone who may have witnessed it.
Alter Egos: Anyparxia
Guardian Of: Mariner Castle on Venus
Abilities: As a civilian, Romy has a general aura about her that instils in people an inability to remember certain things about her - their minds slip around her and things she says or does, informed only by the information she gives in such a way it settles into their subconscious.
Attacks:
Sailor Mariner has only one attack for this Tournament
Deep Mist Unlike her aura that disguises her civilian form from scrutiny, Deep Mist can target specific memories in a person (including those of her). Being in the mist for a little while might cause a Senshi to forget how to perform an attack. Being in the mist for quite a while may cause someone to forget who they are.
Sailor Mariner clicks her fingers and whispers "Deep Mist", before bringing her hand, palm upturned to her mouth, as if blowing a kiss, and blowing a mist over it, turning into a heavy fog. It smells of the sea.
It makes for a powerful weapon, and a good get-away tactic.
Weakness: The effectiveness of the attack is limited to how quickly the victim may be able to get out of it. Mariner is a powerful opponent without the mist, and will usually only use it if she has decided the fight is over, or not going her way at all. It is easily dispersed by attacks using wind or similar powers.
Personality: Anyparxia - let's not be coy, that's still who she is - feels no need to put on a fake personality as she does in her disguise as Romy. She is cold and unforgiving. She does show some mercy, but with disgust that the person should need it. She refuses to speak of her motives - all you need to know is that she desperately wants that wish.

Aww she’s so pretty, and I’m so curious about her now, especially after reading Sora’s profile, so let’s start reading... and I’m done reading.
She’s an awesome character! I love how mysterious she is, especially since she isn’t the average kind of mysterious you know the: “ I’m not going to tell you, you don’t need to know... I don’t know myself” type, she has know probably telling you all about herself and being open... you just won’t remember it.
If I ever have time left when making a comic I totally want to give her a cameo. :D
